Bridges
What is it? A dental bridge is a procedure used to replace missing teeth by literally bridging the gap where the tooth or teeth used to be.
Who can benefit? Those with one or more missing teeth can benefit from a dental bridge.
How long does it take? Usually, two visits spaced a couple of weeks apart are needed for a bridge.
How is it done? Similar to the crown process, the teeth on either side of the gap are prepared to serve as anchors for the bridge. Impressions are taken, which serve as a model for the dental lab to create the bridge. A temporary bridge is worn until the permanent one is ready, which is then cemented in place at a subsequent visit.
